Training in Full Power: Roco Team Visits Ecoverse for ICON 1100 Launch
At Roco, continuous learning and innovation are at the core of everything we do and the start of June 2025 brought a fantastic opportunity to put that into action. Our team travelled across the Atlantic to Ecoverse HQ in the United States for an immersive training week focused on our newly launched ICON 1100, the cutting-edge hybrid electric machine that’s redefining industry standards., whilst there it was a great opportunity to revisit and refresh on training for the purpose of the Ryder 1000 & Sprinter 1500
Karol Gardiner and Shane Connolly proudly represented Roco on this exciting journey. With boots on the ground and minds ready to learn, the pair dove deep into the advanced features and capabilities of the ICON 1100. The atmosphere was electric, quite fitting for a hybrid electric machine, as both teams shared knowledge, insights, and plenty of hands-on experience.

The visit wasn’t limited to just the ICON 1100. As part of a well-rounded program, the Roco team also carried out technical work and sales training across all three models—the ICON 1100, the Ryder 1000, and the Sprinter 1500. While the ICON 1100 was the headline focus, the team also took the opportunity to refresh and reinforce training on the proven performance of the Ryder 1000 jaw crusher and Sprinter 1500 screen.
“It was fantastic to get the team from Roco over for some hands-on training,” said Ian Remijn, Vice President of Sales at Ecoverse. “Their enthusiasm and dedication to delivering knowledge about the ICON 1100 truly reflects the strength of our partnership and the excitement around this machine.”
Karol Gardiner reflected: “It was an entirely new experience for me, sharing my knowledge and expertise on the ICON 1100 and of course the other models. Presenting to the Ecoverse team, felt seamless, when you know a machine inside and out, the information flows naturally. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the ground and leading the training.”
Shane Connolly added: “The relationship between Roco and Ecoverse has grown exponentially over the past couple of years. Getting on the ground with the team is vitally important, we always gain so much from being face-to-face. It was fantastic to have Karol alongside me this time to assist in showcasing our ICON 1100 impact crusher. It really highlights what collaboration can achieve.”

The ICON 1100 represents a major leap forward in sustainable crushing technology. Combining power with eco-efficiency, it’s a machine built for the future, and our team is now fully equipped to support and showcase this innovation across the field—alongside the continued success of the Ryder 1000 and Sprinter 1500.
A big thank you to the Ecoverse team for their warm welcome and commitment to quality training. We’re excited to bring this knowledge back to our customers and the wider industry. The week wasn’t just productive, it was inspiring.
Stay tuned for more updates as the ICON 1100 begins to roll out. The future is green, and it’s running on hybrid.
